A more relaxed potluck format where we ask folks to bring a dish based on a theme. These potlucks work great for families since they don't have to follow a cookbook. The theme can be chosen by the group democratically or you can use the Supper Club Theme list for inspiration.
A potluck based on a type of food either bought or made. Tasting/Shares are a good break in a busy club schedule. Examples: Bring your favorite cheese, bring your favorite chocolate dish, bring in your favorite pickle or fermented food.
Keep in mind that you might need extra funding to find a pro to teach or a license/permit to run it. Also consider if your library has means to facilitate it.
Some ideas:
Pasta making, dumplings, wine pairing, gingerbread decorating, high tea ceremony, mother sauces.
